Big 5 day safari from Cape Town
The most popular format: pick-up in Cape Town early in the morning, drive through the Cape Winelands to the Karoo, game drive, lunch and back in the evening. Sunset versions leave around midday and return late.

When is the best time?
All year. Karoo summers are very hot (midday drives are hard work), winters are cold at dawn but sightings are good. From June to November, combine with whale watching in Hermanus.
